Cash Register
James Ritty might not have guessed that the cash register, which he invented in 1879, would change completely into some thing, which even he would fail to identify. He just wanted to devise a fool proof cash handling system, which effectively prevented his dishonest staff steal and pocket the money at his tavern in his Dayton, Ohio.
Early cash registers were mechanical machines, which did not issue receipts. The cashier would crank up the machine and press the total key to register transaction and that is when the cash drawer would open and a bell ring at the managers/owners office

The Cruel Truth: One Received Complaint = 8 Unhappy Customers
Copyright 2006 business-cards.com
This just doesnt sound fair does it? That one unhappy customer, who complains to you about your business, actually represents 7 others. So why is this so? Well its all centered on good old human nature. You see, as psychologists will tell us, we humans walk the earth with a general expectation of having things occur normally. Pessimists aside, we generally expect to buy what we need, and be provided with the level of service we have grown accustomed to receiving.
So when your business does just that, (performs well and satisfies its customers), people are

Giclee Prints – Affordable Fine Art
Giclee is a style of fine art, which incorporates the use of modern day printers, predominately 7-color to 12-color format ink jet printers and digital art work. The process is becoming more popular amongst modern day artists who regularly paint in digital format; hence there is no original artwork as such. It can also prove very beneficial to artists working on a tight budget, as they are able to reprint copies of the digital original on demand hence less wastage. The Giclee style is also being used to produce enhanced prints of older original artwork, which is

Preserving Your Memories Online
In these days of multimedia storage facilities, compiling and maintaining a scrapbook can seem a little old fashioned. Paper is subject to a multitude of attacks as time progresses, and while there are so many of us who enjoy the earthy feel of a book in our hands, there is little doubt that the Internet, and other methods of data communication, such as CDs and DVDs, boast many practicalities that make them the preferential choice for storing our precious memories. Why You Should Consider Trading Futures
One of the least understood financial markets is the one for futures. That is in part a function of the fact that for many years it has been referred to as commodity futures, which has no doubt turned many would-be traders away, folks who dont have any interest in things like Pork Bellies and Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice (to include a few from the popular Trading Places film). The other factor is the perceived complexity of the futures market. The fact of the matter, though, is that futures trading is incredibly diverse and not as difficult to do as

Criminal Record – Affordable Housing
It is a common fact that persons with criminal records, though they have paid their debt to society, are still denied many of the basic rights that most people take for granted. Aside from jobs, applications for credit, and a number of other things, affordable housing is pretty close to the top of the list. The reason may or may not surprise you.
The underlying problem is that there just isn’t enough affordable housing to fill the need in the United States. The United States Housing Act of 1937 tried to make it so that everyone would be given affordable
